Our Yurts Arrive!

Its been a very exciting week as we saw our first Yurts go up. We had a very busy week last week making changes to the deck floor but we got it right and the Yurts went up no trouble with the help of Chris and everybody from the Yurt Shop.
Please take a look at the pictures below and check back soon as we will be launching a new look booking page which will be more comprehensive than the existing page.
We thought we could relax!

This is the start of putting the floor right.

Much hard work later and we're ready for the Yurts.

This is how it starts when a Yurt goes up.

Half an hour later!

20ft finished and the 10ft is started.

Two hours from start to finish and the Yurts are up and they look amazing.

How about this for an early morning view!

Yurt Site Update

Hi,
We have been busy putting in new gates to the site plus new stock fencing to make sure our guests are not sharing the Yurts with any surprise cow or sheep visitors!

New entrance gates, the right one goes round to the site. Will soon have a sign to go on the gate.

The view over the valley as you come on to the farm.

Please look back soon as we are now starting to build the decking to take our first Yurt which is now ready and we will post some more pictures very soon.

Yurt Latest News.

Hi,
We went today to see how 20ft Yurt is coming along, the frame is now up and almost complete. As soon as it is then it will be measured for its outer covering. Below are some pictures of how it is now looking, the craftsmanship is very impressive. Chris and Carleen from the Yurt Shop near Battle obviously take a great deal of pride in the making of their Yurts.
You can see in the pictures that there is a 10ft Yurt that is up inside the larger one which along with Sara standing inside will give you some idea of the size of the larger Yurt.

Yurt Roof Wheel

You can just imagine openning these doors on a beautiful morning.

The last of the roof struts on a former after being steamed.

Just to bring you all up to date with how far along we are, we have now cleared out all the Hopper huts. Some of these have been closed up since we finished hop picking 8 years ago and a couple longer than that!
You can see some pictures below.
